Arriving in Prague

            We wish you a warm welcome to Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Physical Education 

            Situated in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, the Faculty is part of the old
            central Europe, and welcomes international exchange and cooperation.
            The main building of the Faculty is situated just between the city centre and the airport:


            Prague International Airport is located 15 minutes by bus or taxi from the Faculty of Phys
            and Sport. For getting from the airport to the Faculty, it is possible to use the bus no. 

            “Divoká Šárka” and then take a tram – 1 stop.
            Outside the airport arrivals exit, the bus is to the right on the aisle across the road (a

            just ask someone for BUS 119).  Students can buy a 24 CZK bus ticket at the Information Of
            the airport, or at the yellow slot machine by the bus stop, for which you will need coins 
            is also possible to buy a ticket on the bus from the bus-driver – but it is a bit more exp

            tickets last 30 minutes after being validated by inserting into the time-punch machine on

            The bus stop for the Faculty is called DIVOKÁ ŠÁRKA (there are illuminated LED signs for n

            inside roof of all buses, trams and metro, and also voice instructions). To get to the Fac
            it is a 10-minute-walk in the same direction as the bus, along the main street (Evropska) 
            building on the right. (Alternatively, it is possible to board a tram for one stop only – 

            is a short walk on the left, and your ticket is still valid.) After one stop, the Faculty 
            direction the tram goes, on your right.) Roughly in the middle of the building, there is t
            to the Faculty. Reception is just inside.

            On arrival, students can arrange to meet an International Student Advisor for help with tr
            Faculty, assistance with accommodation, and any other advice or information.
