            The department is theoretically and practically oriented in the field of applied physical 

            health physical education and preventive medicine. The primary goal, intertwined with all 
            of the department, is the application of knowledge, forms, methods and means from medical 
            education disciplines so as to lead to harmonious human development, including the compens

            morphological-functional changes associated with physical activity, age or disability.
            The Department provides teaching of subjects related to health and applied physical educat
            education medicine; first aid; hygiene, regeneration and massage. It also provides educati

            in the study programme Applied Physical Education and Sport of Persons with Specific Needs
            and master level, in subjects of special pedagogical basis, clinical subjects, professiona

            In addition to direct and indirect teaching activities, the department is involved in rese
            lifelong learning and complementary activities.

            The department cooperates with professional institutions and a number of sports clubs for 
            special needs.
