Physiotherapy

A physiotherapist with a Master’s degree is a highly educated healthcare specialist qualified to provide advanced physiotherapeutic care in preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative practice. This care can be delivered in a wide range of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centres, specialised departments, social care facilities, spas, and sports organisations.
Physiotherapists are able to work independently and apply a broad spectrum of physiotherapeutic methods and procedures, including treatments based on physical agents. They are also able to evaluate the effectiveness of the therapy provided. In addition, they are prepared for roles in both practical and theoretical educational leadership. Their knowledge and skills comply with the standards of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).
The Master’s programme offers specialised courses in reflex therapy methods based on Bobath, Vojta, Lewit, and Kabat approaches, as well as lymphatic drainage techniques and the treatment of functional female infertility according to Mojžíšová.
There is a compulsory research methods course in which students are required to complete a supervised research project, which typically serves as the foundation for their Master’s thesis.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent professional qualification corresponding to our Bachelor’s programme. Graduates of accredited universities offering Physiotherapy degrees outside the Czech Republic may be offered an individual study plan to address and minimise any differences in programme content.
