4EU+ Alliance

Thanks to an initiative by the European Commission, transnational alliances bringing together European universities have been established since 2020. The goal of these alliances is to create a space for the universities of the future, which promote European values and identity and strengthen the quality and competitiveness of European higher education.
By 2022, a total of 44 alliances had been established in Europe
Since 2020, Charles University has been a member of the 4EU+ Alliance alongside other leading European universities: Heidelberg University, Sorbonne University, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Geneva, the University of Milan, and the University of Warsaw. The alliance’s mission is to achieve excellence in research, teaching, education, and administrative support, and to create a suitable platform for ensuring the free movement of students, faculty, and administrative staff, as well as the sharing of ideas and infrastructure.
The opportunities offered through the 4EU+ Alliance are continuously updated on the Charles University website. Detailed information about activities and current calls for proposals is available on the 4EU+ Alliance website.
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports actively takes advantage of the opportunities it has gained through its participation in the 4EU+ Alliance. Our students and staff can travel to partner universities for study or work placements. Our experts participate in collaborative projects with partner institutions.
