We participated in a 4 EU+ meeting in Paris

At the beginning of April, a group of six students (Jan Fiala, Andrea Duchoňová, Jakub Pospíšil, Anežka Doktorová, Anička Haškovcová, Šimon Lev), two academics (Vladimír Hojka, Šárka Vokounová), and one representative from the foreign department (Natálie Wolfová) of our faculty participated in a significant sports meeting at the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris. This meeting was organized within the framework of the 4EU+ alliance, which connects several leading European universities in the field of education and research.

The first day was dedicated to getting acquainted with other partner institutions (University of Milan, University of Geneva, Heidelberg University) and coordinators from Sorbonne. Our participants engaged in collective exercises and performed at a concert in the evening, providing a great opportunity for cultural exchange and teamwork. The second day was full of sportsmanship, with our students competing in basketball and badminton tournaments against teams from Sorbonne and other partner schools. The final day concluded with matches in wheelchair basketball and volleyball, highlighting the importance of inclusivity in sports. The entire program was exceptionally beneficial, especially for our students, who had a unique chance not only to compete but also to forge new friendships and broaden their horizons.

During the meeting, discussions also took place among faculty representatives, aimed at further deepening mutual cooperation. This visit thus opened doors to new opportunities and projects between our faculty and institutions within the 4EU+ alliance.
