WHERE: FTVS UK Athletic Stadium, José Martího 269/31, Prague 6 – Veleslavín
WHO: Everyone who loves movement and wants to support a good cause – the event is open not only to students and faculty staff but also to the general public.
This year, Motion brings me Joy and Warmth is part of the Run and Help project organized by Konto Bariéry. This marks the 11th edition of this nationwide charity running event, taking place from April 1 to June 30, 2025. Proceeds from the charity runs will be used to purchase sports prosthetics for Kuba, Elen, and Péťa. The project is open to everyone who enjoys movement and wants to help others. Participants can customize their involvement – choosing the location, time, type of physical activity, and the amount of their registration fee, which serves as a direct contribution to helping a specific person with a disability. Every year, thousands of children and adults from across the Czech Republic take part in Run and Help.
For the first time in the history of this charity run, we are joining forces with the student-led initiative Sport Connects proklik na projekt výše, which is part of the Youth Connect for Ukraine project, supported by the British Council. This unique project gives students and the general public a chance to express solidarity with Ukraine through sports and active participation in public life.
Starting March 26, 2025, runners and supporters can join an online community on the Strava platform, where, over 20 days, they will collectively cover the symbolic distance between Kyiv, Prague, and London. The project will culminate on April 15, 2025, with the Movement Warms Me charity run, where under the motto "Sport Unites", we will join forces not only on the track but also in support of a meaningful cause. Anyone who believes in the power of sport to connect and inspire is welcome to join.
We are proud to have the Czech Paralympic Committee and the Journey for a Dream project as partners of our charity event. Special thanks go to our long-term partners: DECATHLON, KPMG, and MATTONI.
