Sport Sciences–Biomedical Department
The Sport Sciences–Biomedical Department is a sub-department within the organizational rules of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Charles University in the biomedical section. The department provides teaching of basic biomedical subjects - anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, biochemistry and other medical and healthcare fields in various modifications and specifications according to the needs of individual study programs. In addition to direct and indirect teaching activities, the department provides research activities, organizes additional activities and participates in Lifelong learning. The employees of the department also participate in the provision of postgraduate education, the implementation of various forms of creative workplace activities in the field of biomedical sciences. Following the activities of individual laboratories, the department provides a wide range of services to the public, especially in the areas of exercise physiology and sports biomechanics.
