General and Faculty Requirements


ADMISSION


You apply directly on our website by submitting the Online Application Form.


Application Deadline: the Application Form along with the supporting documents and the payment of the administrative fee must be submitted by 30st of June 2024. If you need a visa to study in the Czech Republic, we recommend that you submit your application before the 30th of April 2024.


Applicants who are required a visa to study in the Czech Republic are advised to submit their Online Application as soon as possible to make sure their visa is processed on time. It is recommended to start the process of applying for the visa by the end of April.

Please note that once the application has been completed, it must be submitted (by clicking on the “Send” button) in order to become valid.


Once you filled and sent the Online Application, a specific six-digit code linked to your application form will be generated, this code must be used as the specific symbol during the payment of the administrative fee CZK 2500,-. Once the payment is made, please send us the confirmation of payment to iso@ftvs.cuni.cz.


Mandatory documents for the Online Application:

Applicants for Bachelor and Master Study will submit mandatory documents when completing the online application. Required documents are:

2) Proof of qualification


  • For applicants to bachelor’s and long-cycle master’s programmes of study

If you completed the previous level of education at a foreign secondary school, submit one of the following documents: a proof that a foreign document concerning the obtainment of secondary education is generally recognised as equivalent or valid in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”), or a document proving the granting of the European Baccalaureate, or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education completed with a “maturita” examination, if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative document  procedures  (“maturita school leaving certificate” from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia), or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education to be assessed by the faculty (for a fee of CZK 930). Detailed information about the manner of proving fulfillment of the requirement of obtaining secondary education with a “maturita” school-leaving examination for graduates of foreign secondary schools is available on the faculty website in section 1.


  • For applicants to post-bachelor and doctoral programmes of study

If you completed the previous higher education at a foreign higher education institution, submit one of the following documents: a document obtained in accordance with sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act proving general recognition of a foreign higher education in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”); a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a higher education diploma and diploma supplement from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia); or a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education to be assessed by the Faculty (for a fee of CZK 930). Detailed information about the manner of proving fulfillment of the requirement of completion of a bachelor’s or master’s programme of study for graduates of foreign higher education institutions is available on the faculty website in section 2.

4) Letter of Recommendation

The recommendation should be written by your previous school/college/university or sport club.


5) English Language Certificate

Applicants are required to provide an internationally recognised certificate (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL) proving their level of English language skills. Applicant is expected to be at least at the level of B2 of the Common European Framework Reference.

We accept high school-leaving examination certificates or undergraduate degree-level qualifications awarded by schools and universities where teaching and assessments are conducted in English as a valid proof of English language skills.


6) Medical documents:


Coach and Fitness Coach programme only:

  • Sports Doctor Report – a confirmation that you are fit to study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. The report can be obtained at any Sports Clinic and Sports Doctor. When seeing the Sports Doctor you will undergo the ECG Stress Test. Based on the result the physician will write a statement whether or not you are fit to study at the Sports Faculty.


Physiotherapy:

  • A document from your doctor proving that you have passed a satisfactory HBsAg test or a vaccination against hepatitis B. This information can be on the same document with the measles information.

  • A document from your doctor proving that you have passed a satisfactory IgG test or a vaccination against measles. This information can be on the same document with the hepatitis B information.


Please note:

All documents provided must be in Czech or English language, or officially translated into either of them.



Applicants for Bc.Coach and Bc.Fitness Coach are required to have basic skills in swimming, track and field, gymnastics and sport games. Ice-skating and skiing work as an advantage as well.
