Subject: USA Study Opportunity at George Mason University
Hi everyone,
We are offering the opportunity for your students in masters or bachelors
programs to come to George Mason University and work with high quality
teachers and scholars on sport management and sports studies both in the
USA and internationally. We have special tuition and housing rates
established for this program. We are located only about 20km from
Washington, DC and have a shuttle bus from campus to the Washington Metro.
It is easy to travel to New York City sporting venues as well. If you have
questions, let me know, but I look forward to welcoming your students this
Fall. The program is in its 4th year and is now well established. There is
a possibility for interested students to complete their students in
Barbados with our study trip there which takes place in early January. We
also welcome students in Spring 2013 (late January to mid-May) if there is
interest for that semester.
We need to get the process started by the middle of April to ensure timely
visa processing. You can contact me with student names or have the
students contact me directly. Thanks for spreading the word and sharing
with your colleagues and students.
Cheers,
John

STUDY ABOUT SPORTS IN THE USA
at The Academy of International Sport at George Mason University near Washington DC
Our program is especially designed to fit the European model of masters degree programs in sport and we also welcome undergraduate sports students. We allow students to do 3 or 4 courses depending on what each country and university recommends. Where possible we match program costs to student grants.
Our semester runs from late August to mid-December but there is also an option to join our program in Barbados from January 3-17, 2013 included as part of your semester away studies.
During your stay we also host the Sport in the Global South II Conference, November 12-14 and there you will meet scholars from around the world.
This year students also attended many sports matches including the Washington Redskins in the NFL; the Washington Capitals in NHL ice hockey; the U.S. Open Tennis Championship, George Mason University sports; and took trips to New York City, Miami, and California and more.
